The full line up for my favourite small festival was announced this week and it looks hot...The Kills, Iggy and The Stooges, Two Door Cinema Club, Jamie Woon, Katy B, Fenech Soler, Caribou, Annie Mac and Mount Kimbie...and that's not all of it.
Evo is based in Newcastle...right in the city by the canal, so there's no treaking across swampy fields to compete with (that's waiting at Glastonbury, Creamfields and Bestival this year.) The afterparty's have nothing on Shangri-La at Glasto but you can still catch some decent DJ sets and knock back some more drinks i the clubs and bar around the city before collapsing in your hotel room.
And..a weekend ticket is only £35.
Of course i'm a girl..and a fashion student so the question as to what to pack is already on my mind. My muse for this weekend is definitely going to be Alison Mosshart of The Kills.
(Oh yeah, as if they're not cool enough already The Kills now front the Zadig & Voltaire Campaigns.)
So the look is....
Loads of beaten leather, vintage denim, fringing, metalic boots, geometric print leggings, shirts, leopard print, breton stripes, androgynous hats and knackered band tee's. Accessorized with sunglasses, a warm can of cider and a cigarette at all times.
(My Own moodboard created using images from Urban Outfitters, Bitching and Junkfood and Vadig & Voltaire.)
Roll on May.
